Valais cherries, pearls of the Alps!

Area of origin: Canton of Valais

Composition: The cherry is rich in beta-carotene and in vitamins A, C, E.

Appearance, taste/flavour: from the first days of June you can enjoy one after the other the sweet Burlat, the Summit, the queen of cherries due to its size and high sugar content, the firmness and quality of taste of the Koradia and the Noire de Meched with its well-balanced flavour.

Production: the Valais brand guarantees conformity with the minimum size as well as adherence to strict social and environmental norms.

To enjoy: fresh! Cooked in a clafoutis dessert; in savoury dishes as an accompaniment to poultry, especially duck.

Seasonality: June

Conditions and length of preservation: cherries need to be eaten quickly, within 3-4 days if they are kept in a cool room. They can be kept 2 or 3 days in the vegetable compartment of the fridge but lose their fragrance and taste; take them out 30 minutes before eating.
