Spécialités: Valaisanne plate, Fondue

Site: flower-decked chalet in the village square, at the Val d’Anniviers crossroads. A gourmet staging-post, much appreciated by tourists, and a favourite meeting-point for locals. Restaurant, vaulted cellar, sunny terrace. Recommended by “Michelin” and “Poisson d’Or”.

Valaisian cuisine: from the traditional Valaisian platter, to the “Valaisian menu”, or the fondue with Muscat wine (house speciality), chef Pierre Bourgeois offers a number of high-quality dishes. Sonia recommends desserts made with home-made apricot coulis (purée), Valaisian apple juice or one of the 80 great vintage wines from the cellar.
